Ultram is a name brand prescription medication used for moderate to moderately severe pain. Ultram medication comes in the form of tramadol hydrochloride tablets. It is a centrally acting synthetic analgesic. It is not an anti-inflammatory.
The most common side effects of Ultram medication are constipation, nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness and vomiting. A more serious possible side effect is seizures. Ultram can lead to dependence and should not be taken for extended periods of time.
