Diabetic medication involves different treatments for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Some patients may have to take insulin injections daily while others may simply have to make a change in their diet.

Insulin can be found in varying strengths that work at different speeds and last for different amounts of time. Some experimentation supervised by your doctor may be needed to find the right one for you. Humalog, Lente and Lantus are all brands of insulin.
